Mold Mates: 35th Anniversary 2-pack Optimus Prime, Premium Finish Optimus Prime

Transformers Studio Series #38 Voyager Class Optimus Prime is a brand new mold for the line and transforms into an unlicensed flat-nose style truck similar to a 1970’s Marmon cab-over truck. This toy is based on the character's appearance in the Bumblebee, but more closely resembles the concept art design than the actual design in the movie. The same goes for the truck as well, because in the movie he turned into an '87 Freightliner cab truck. Optimus’ only accessory is his Ion Blaster that he used during the beginning of Bumblebee and it can be plugged into his hand or either of the 5mm ports on his back. The only commonly known QC issues with this figure are paint-chipping on the silver paint and the leg panels on the inside of his legs will dislodge easily when posing the figure. On this copy, those same panels were difficult to untab when going to robot mode and one of them did not like to sit flush.
